Marti Correa serves as the Chief Product Officer and Head of Americas Sales at S&P Global Ratings. In this role, she leads global product innovation, development, and management initiatives. Additionally, she is responsible for the strategy and execution of sales, new business development, and relationship management across all business lines in the Americas, including Corporates, Financial Institutions & Sponsors, Infrastructure & Project Finance, Structured Finance, and Public Finance. Marti is an active voting member of the Ratings Product Council and the Private Markets Steering Committee.
Before assuming her current position, Marti joined S&P as Managing Director, overseeing Global Commercial Strategy, Product Innovation, and Operations. Prior to her tenure at S&P, she held the role of Managing Director and Regional Head of North America Commercial Sales Relationship Management at Moody’s Investors Service, where she directed the commercial strategy and execution across all business lines, achieving the highest revenue growth rate among her peers.
Marti’s extensive leadership experience includes roles at prominent multinational corporations such as The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Stanley Black & Decker, MBIA, GE Capital, and PwC, where she worked in various capacities including Strategy, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, M&A, Private Equity, and Business Development. She possesses strong treasury skills and a proven track record in originating and structuring strategic and financial Private Equity and distressed senior debt transactions. While at GE Capital, she contributed to the Executive Office, supporting the CEO and the executive leadership team.
Marti holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Sacred Heart University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She has also completed leadership courses in Leading Change and Organizational Renewal at Harvard Business School. In the 2019-2020 academic year, she served as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Graduate Risk Management program at Columbia University in New York. Marti passed the CPA exam in Connecticut, is Green Belt certified and Black Belt trained.
Throughout her career, Marti has demonstrated a strong commitment to education by mentoring young professionals and students. She currently serves on the Board of the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem, NY. In recognition of her achievements, Marti was honored with the 50 Most Powerful Latinas award by ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America) in 2023.
