Miguel (Mick) Lopez joined Veritas Technologies in February 2016 as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He brings more than thirty years of diverse global financial leadership. He was the chief financial officer and a senior vice president at Harris Corporation for two years before joining Veritas. Until 2014, he worked at Arcient Group, a global services company, where he served as CFO since 2011. Prior to that, Lopez was responsible for corporate financial planning and operations at Cisco Systems, and led the company’s $1 billion restructuring and alignment program. Earlier, he was CFO for Tyco International’s ADT Security Systems North America. He was subsequently named vice president of business development for Tyco’s Fire and Security division.

Lopez began his career at IBM, where he was CFO for IBM in Brazil and Latin America Personal Computers and managed IBM’s Latin America merger and acquisition activity. At IBM, he also held significant roles covering pricing and channel strategy in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, as well as financial planning and analysis, credit, and treasury.

Lopez has a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago and is a certified public accountant.
