An ongoing series from The Alumni Society spotlighting its impressive members
Alma mater: Georgetown University | Location: San Francisco, CA
Where are you from?
El Monte, California is my hometown. First-generation Mexican American.
What do you do?
I use my 10+ years in Marketing to unlock insight-driven quantitative and qualitative analysis. As a marketing professional at a top fintech company, I develop and implement Marketing strategy, allowing us to engage new consumer audiences, maximize sponsorship platforms, elevate the brand, and deliver higher returns amongst our client base.
What is a career accomplishment you’re proud of?
I have had the opportunity to work with several great teammates, and two milestones come to mind: 1.) At the NFL, I enlisted key stakeholders, developed new programming, and executed the Latino consumer engagement marketing strategy for Super Bowl LI with a major broadcaster partner, which led to the highest Super Bowl viewership amongst the Latino community – breaking a Spanish-language cable audience record at the time. 2.) At Clorox, I led a research, operations, and procurement working team during the early part of the pandemic to revise packaging and to overcome supply chain issues to make more hygienic product available and ensure that it reached the underserved communities.
In the spirit of giving and receiving, what do you seek from this network and what do you want to contribute?
I look forward most to collaborating and meeting this community, and to engage in professional development discussions.
What are you passionate about or what drives you?
I am passionate about investing in the next generation of rising (Latino) professional talent, and working on academic opportunities (across high school and college undergrad levels) that reinvest back in the community.
