Senior Relationship Manager, Individual Investors

About the Position
The Individual Investors Relationship Manager (RM) role is accountable for the retention and growth of high net worth ($1 million+) individual investor relationships. The RM is responsible for delivering proactive, consultative client service and advice, with the objective of driving client satisfaction, optimizing client retention and growing their book of business.
Principal Responsibilities
Developing and growing a book of business to achieve financial objectives for each client or household relationship. Proactively advising clients on investment products and service solutions that will enhance the client’s relationship with T. Rowe Price, resulting in net new flows to the Individual Investors organization.
Providing proactive service support for each client and their household either personally or through an extended network of T. Rowe Price front office and back office service support teams. Guiding clients through complex service inquiries such as inheritances, charitable giving, and other significant life events that require resolution.
Identifying vulnerable client relationships, assessing the degree of vulnerability, and leveraging the firm’s internal resources and organization to develop and execute a retention strategy.
Partnering with II-Personal Investors Experience, Marketing, and Sales teams to coordinate client development and loyalty strategies for book of business and/or local market such as local events.
Qualifications
Required
- College degree and 4 years of related work experience, or Associate degree and 6 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and 8 years related work experience
- Series 7
- Series 66 (Within 30 days of hire)
- CRPC® (Within 6 months of hire) – exception granted for CFP®, CIMA®, CFA®
- Superior communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional client service skills
- Exceptional consultative skills
- Financial planning experience
- Ability to develop, articulate and implement strategy to optimize client relationships
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- Ability to use analytical tools and industry publications to gather information to be used in client communications and to think independently and proactively about how to best convey information
- Proven track record of success in maintaining and enhancing relationships
- Ability to influence and negotiate towards outcomes that are mutually beneficial to the client and TRP
- Creative problem solving skills
- Demonstrate confidence and executive presence in external and internal business interactions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to assimilate and apply the high volume of information pertinent to the financial services industry, which includes industry trends, legislative and regulatory topics, administration and operations, investor communications strategies, and investments
Preferred
- MBA or advanced degree
- Professional designations, such as CRPC, CFP, CPA
- 10 plus years’ experience in financial services
- 1 to 5 years of relationship management or high value client servicing experience
