The Digital Office is at the forefront of BNY Mellon’s digital transformation and offers the opportunity to work with senior digital leaders across the firm. Launched in 2018, the Digital Office works across all BNY Mellon lines of business to address client priorities and regulatory concerns. As a result, candidates who join will work with a truly cross-functional team to re-imagine challenging business problems and build new solutions. Through this, candidates will gain tangible experience in new digital ways of working and problem solving, using data to drive decision making. Collectively, this will broaden their understanding of the firm and make them a stronger digitally-capable candidate that will enable them to serve as the next generation of BNY Mellon senior leaders.

The Digital Department Operations team is responsible for shaping and launching the processes and supporting tools to ensure the department is running smoothing and meeting all goals. This includes working with all the Digital teams to lead change, leading digital change management (including communications and culture), and driving innovation firmwide. The team operates as the firm’s digital-focused internal strategy / consulting team, serving a central role to advance the company’s digital transformation and providing advice to senior leaders in support of the organization’s long-term goals.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, has experience in executing analyses on large datasets, and hands-on experience in digital strategy, process improvement and re-imagination programs. (S) He stays close to digital trends, with a digital first mindset. The candidate will align to various digital department operations initiatives (e.g. Lifecycle Management, Delivery Processes, Department Communication Strategy, Digital Roadshows, etc.) to assess complex business and process issues, identify actionable opportunities for improvements, design solutions, and quantify bottom line financial impact of recommendations. This role will support senior Digital Leads with discrete problem-solving workstreams.

Responsibilities

Select Activities may include: Developing work plans, conducting investigatory interviews and research, gathering and synthesizing data, executing analyses to test working team hypotheses, building analytic models to support decision making, drafting presentations, documenting current state customer journeys and key processes, capturing key dependencies across initiatives and cataloging learnings

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 3-5 years of related experience preferred. Management consulting experience or strategy experience with a digital focus at a financial services firm is a plus.
