Kenneth Correa is a managing director at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and serves as the national business development executive. In this role, Kenneth leads national recruiting, sets the strategy for business development, drives acquisition activities, delivers advisor recognition programs, and strengthens practice management across the firm. Additionally, the business development team collaborates with key partners across the enterprise, Merrill Lynch leadership, and advisor councils to execute and ensure a seamless advisor and client experience that will maximize performance and drive firm culture.
Kenneth started his career on Wall Street with UBS Global Wealth Management in 1998, where he spent 21 years before joining Merrill Lynch in 2019 as the market executive of the Manhattan East Market. Prior to his current role as national business development executive, Kenneth was the market executive of the Rockefeller Center Market where he was responsible for approximately 300 financial professionals managing $32 billion in client assets representing over $200M in revenue. Currently, Kenneth is the chairman of the Merrill Lynch Hispanic Latino Advisory Council and sits on the Bank of America Hispanic Latino Executive Council, the Bank of America New York City Hispanic Latino Business Council, and the Bank’s NYC ACTion advisory board.
While at UBS, in 2016 Kenneth was the winner of the prestigious Edward J. Connolly Leadership Award, the highest and most coveted award at UBS by a field leader as it reflects commitment to its employees and its community, integrity, performance, and collaboration across the firm. In 2015, Kenneth was also recognized as a top leader in finance by Latino Leaders magazine. In addition to being the market head of its metropolitan market, Kenneth was also the co-chairman of UBS Global Wealth Management’s employee diversity network, MOSAIC.
Kenneth earned a master in business administration from Columbia University with honors and graduated cum laude from Queens College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics/finance and a minor in business and liberal arts. He also holds the certified financial planner (CFP®) designation. While at Columbia University, Kenneth received the
Ethan R. Hanabury Student Representative award for leadership. A resident of Bronxville, New York, Kenneth enjoys spending his free time with his young son, Kenneth Javier (“KJ”), reading, and participating in active sports.
