Michael Cerdá is the executive vice president of product and engineering, streaming for Univision. Cerdá joined Univision after a thriving career at Disney, where his last role was as the VP of Product for Disney+. He joined Disney in 2019 from Goldman Sachs, where he was Chief Product Officer and Managing Director for Marcus, the consumer bank. Prior, Cerdá was Head of Media Products at Facebook where he worked on News, Music and Live Video. Cerdá led Product, Design and Technology at Vevo, and led Product and Technology at Myspace, working on Groups, Forums, Messaging, Artists and Events. Prior to his media experience, Cerdá founded communications startups Threadbox, Jangl and Ooma, prefaced by nearly a decade in networking infrastructure at companies such as Redback, Lucent and Netopia. Cerdá fills that space that is part-entrepreneur and part-big- company, thriving in companies that are approaching new inflections.
