Meet Itzel Moncada
An ongoing series from The Alumni Society spotlighting its impressive members
Alma mater:
University of California, Los Angeles
I grew up in the border region of Calexico, California, and have roots from Mexico. My mother is from the state of Sinaloa, and my father is from Mexicali, Baja California. I visit both of these places as much as I can!
I am currently based in Orange County, California. I’ve lived in San Diego and Los Angeles over the past couple of years – all over Southern California!
I am currently part of the private equity investment team in an Irvine-based firm, Cebron Group. There, I focus on the acquisition of life sciences companies through an M&A consolidation strategy. I enjoy working with exceptional founders and learning from them every day!
I am very proud of my career trajectory, from working with small and medium businesses in Imperial Valley to my current role, where I interact with medium and large enterprises. Finally, I am proud of obtaining my MBA at the University of San Diego while working full time at the World Trade Center San Diego during the pandemic.
What benefits or values do you seek in networking platforms such as The Alumni Society?
I am thrilled to be part of The Alumni Society and network with like-minded Latino leaders actively making a difference in the future landscape of business.
I am passionate about the equity and representation of Latinos in the business world, especially Latinas. I constantly enter rooms where I am the only woman of color and wish to have more women in decision-making roles.
