Where are you from?
I was born in McAllen, Texas. My heritage is Mexican-American.
Where are you from?
I am based in Austin, Texas.
What are you up to today?
I am the CEO & Founder of EmpiricaLab, a last-mile, team-centric training platform for healthcare teams.
What is a career accomplishment you’re proud of?
I am a first-gen college graduate, so it was very meaningful to me to have accomplished a PhD. Professionally, I’ve followed a non-linear journey, including academia, nonprofit, private sector, and now as an entrepreneur. I am most proud—and grateful—of being bold and pursuing a journey that is exciting and, I hope, impactful in transforming healthcare.
What benefits or values do you seek in networking?
I believe strongly in the impact of community. I am seeking to be part of an intellectually engaging community of Latino leaders committed to making a positive impact. I’d like to contribute with my lived experiences and energy in supporting and mentoring other Latinos.
What are you passionate about or what drives you?
I love science fiction! If anyone would like to watch a sci-fi series or movie, please count me in!
