Meet Octavio Sandoval

Where are you from?

The Bronx in New York City; Honduran/Guatemalan.

What do you do?

I am currently the director of investments at Illumen Capital. I am responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment deals. My focus is to allocate money to Latinx and Black GPs as well as invest in diverse-led startups.

What is a career accomplishment you’re proud of?

Completing the CFA charter is a career accomplishment I’m proud of.

In the spirit of giving and receiving, what do you seek from this network and what do you want to contribute?

I am hoping to expand my network of distinguished Latinos. In terms of contributions, I am hoping to execute investment deals with Latinos.

What is a fun fact about you that you’d like to share with the network?

I love to travel!
