Vice President, Employee Experience and End User Computing

We are well on our way in this journey but this role is critical in leading the charge and helping us across the finish line.
The Vice President, Employee Experience and End User Computing will lead an organization of close to 200 supporting over 70K users globally while partnering closely with the CIOs and business leaders for each line of business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver intelligent, engaging, and secure experiences for our associates to work and collaborate from any device, anywhere, anytime.
- Develop a “better than consumer grade” technology and capability offering that supports every facet of an employee’s day to include:
- Simplified collaboration across teams and geographies
- Day 1 productivity – onboarding & access
- Unified endpoint experience across mobile, tablet, and laptop/desktop
- Engineer and operate solutions that are secure and reliable, but simple and intuitive
- Ensure a strong balance between strategic vision and operational movement against goals impacting the associate experience
- Increase the technical depth and facility of reporting teams through both coaching and development and recruitment of critical hires
- Lead the End User Computing teams in key activities to support the Company’s ongoing technology transformation strategy
The Person
The successful candidate will be a seasoned technology professional with passion for innovation and a track record of transformation. The successful candidate will exhibit excellent leadership skills to leverage the capabilities of peers, business partners, and associates, and should possess the confidence and poise to influence the executive leadership team and various internal stakeholders. Strong business judgment, strategic orientation and communication skills are essential. Similarly, important are an attention to detail, good team dynamics, and an ability to work independently as needed.
Specific candidate competencies include, but are not limited to:
- Transform the associate technology infrastructure experience to focus on simplicity, elegance, and satisfaction while maintaining due consideration to security best practices. Representative initiatives include:
- Improve the onboarding process for systems and tools access through sophisticated role engineering
- Improve the user experience for accessing systems
- Improve Capital One’s risk posture as it relates to access management
- Implement a robust and sustainable identify and access management governance function
- Lead the Identity and Access Management, Virtual Private Network, Active Directory, and relevant project management teams in key activities to support the Company’s ongoing technology transformation strategy
- Ensure a strong balance between strategic vision and operational movement against goals impacting the employee experience across each of the three domains
- Increase the technical depth and facility of reporting teams through both coaching and development and recruitment of critical hires

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field
- 12+ years’ experience in information technology with experience leading End User Support organizations
- At least 5 years of executive management or leadership experience of teams over 100 + (within technology) with end user base of 50K+
- Experience with both Windows and Macintosh platforms at scale
- Experience testing and deploying leading edge technologies
Compensation
To attract the right individual, Capital One is prepared to offer a competitive compensation package, which will include a base salary and cash bonus, as well as long term incentives (restricted stock, options and performance based shares).
