Dr. Veronica Alonzo is the Associate Superintendent for the Diocese of Dallas. She has worked for over 20 years in numerous Catholic schools in the Diocese of Austin and Dallas. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, she began her educational career via the Alliance for Catholic Education. Dr. Alonzo is a first-generation high school and college graduate. She is the oldest of five children, all of whom have earned a college degree. Her parents instilled the love of learning and the love for Our Lady of Guadalupe; together these passions have propelled her to succeed within Catholic Schools. Currently, Dr. Alonzo is an executive coach for Catholic school leaders across the country, leads the COVID prevention team for Catholic schools in Dallas, serves as the Chair for Hispanic Alumni of Notre Dame Board, sits on steering committees for various Catholic colleges and universities, and serves as a guest speaker regarding Latinos in Catholic education.
