New Member Spotlight: Abraham Dionisio Wise

Meet Abraham Dionisio Wise

An ongoing series from The Alumni Society spotlighting its impressive members

Alma mater: Harvard | Location: Seattle

Where are you from?

Sunnyside, Washington. I am of Mexican heritage.

What do you do?

I am a public communications advisor at the US Department of State.

What is a career accomplishment you’re proud of?

Serving the people of the United States overseas as a diplomat at our embassies in Bolivia, Mexico, and China has been a tremendous honor and a great adventure.

In the spirit of giving and receiving, what do you seek from this network and what do you want to contribute?

I seek inspiration from the accomplishments of fellow members, as well as friendship and the chance to connect on a personal level. I look forward to contributing what I can from my life experience, as well as tips for the best Seattle happy hour locations. I’d be happy to organize a get together in the Seattle area if there are other Alumni Society folks in the area looking to get together.

What is a fun fact about you that you’d like to share with the network?

I am one of six siblings – all boys – and have over fifty first cousins. Growing up, about half of us spoke Spanish, which meant half of us understood how best to stay out of trouble with Abuelita. The other half had to do a lot of chores.
