Meet Marina Lopez Conde

Where are you from?

I am half Brazilian and half Nicaraguan! Not the most usual combination. I spent my childhood between Rio de Janeiro and Managua.

What do you do?

I head the debt capital markets origination for Mexico and Colombia at Santander.

What is a career accomplishment you’re proud of?

Being adaptable and having the confidence to believe it is possible to learn new skills and establish new relationships. More recently, being a mentor has been very rewarding.

In the spirit of giving and receiving, what do you seek from this network and what do you want to contribute?

I’d love to be a mentor to young professionals starting out, especially if they can relate to my story. I’d like to be a connector and learn from the other members.

What is a fun fact about you that you’d like to share with the network?

While I am very fact-based and objective in many areas of my life, I enjoy reading about astrology and I am happy to chat about birth charts anytime!
