The Alumni Society Welcomes Freddie Mac as Diversity Partner

Latino alumni network partners with Freddie Mac, a leading organization with a strong commitment to inclusion and diversity

Freddie Mac logoThe Alumni Society announced today its partnership with Freddie Mac to help bring top-tier Latino talent to the financial services company. Through this new partnership, Freddie Mac will work directly with The Alumni Society on an array of event, branding, and recruiting services, further positioning the company as a destination employer among The Alumni Society’s network of Latino leaders.

Freddie Mac’s mission is to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable. By operating in the secondary mortgage market, the government-sponsored enterprise keeps mortgage capital flowing by purchasing mortgage loans from lenders so they in turn can provide more loans to qualified borrowers. The secondary mortgage market provides liquidity, stability and affordability to the US housing market.

“To fully achieve our mission, we must create and sustain an inclusive environment in which all employees are equipped to do their best work,” said Jacqueline Welch, chief human resources officer and chief diversity officer at Freddie Mac. “Our partnership with The Alumni Society further strengthens our recruiting pipeline for Latinos, the fastest growing demographic in the United States and a prominent demographic of future first-time homebuyers.”

Recently, Freddie Mac appointed Ricardo Anzaldua, cofounder of The Alumni Society, as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. “I am pleased and honored to have been selected as executive champion for Freddie Mac’s partnership with The Alumni Society,” Anzaldua says. “I look forward to supporting The Alumni Society’s vision of creating opportunity for highly qualified Latino candidates.”

“We’re proud of Freddie Mac’s commitment to elevating Latino voices, as evidenced by their appointment of our cofounder, Ricardo Anzaldua,” said Pedro A. Guerrero, cofounder and CEO of The Alumni Society. “We’re excited to work closely with an inclusive company like Freddie Mac to foster meaningful connections with top Latino talent.”
